We began working with Eric Carle’s studio, and later the museum, in 1999, scanning 4×5 transparencies of Eric’s artwork. Since then, we have systematically digitized Eric’s entire body of work while at the same time photographing the work of numerous other artists whose work is either part of the permanent collection or whose work was on exhibit as part of a traveling show. We prepare master files for the museum’s long range digital archive needs and help them re-purpose those same files for book publishing, catalog printing, web page use, and print and web marketing purposes. For traveling exhibits, we create 100% facsimile prints for the museum. The prints match the original artwork in nearly every way and have been an excellent way for the museum to share the artwork with a larger audience while at the same time protecting and preserving the original.
