20th Anniversary Celebration

Open House and Reception – Friday October 19th / 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Please join as we celebrate our 20th anniversary.

As part of our celebration, we have commissioned artists Martin and Carl Bridge to create a new mural on the south side of our building at 70 Maple Street. This new mural is inspired by a pivotal period in Florence history, the years between 1843 and 1873. Local historian Steve Strimer consulted with us to develop our artistic creation, and Steve’s essay on Florence’s abolitionist activities and utopian dreams will be on display at our opening reception. Both Martin and Steve will be on hand to share their thoughts and answer questions about the mural.

Pivot Media founder Jim Gipe will also be exhibiting images from the early days of the Pivot Gallery, including digital illustrations and photographs he created between 1999 to 2001.

Henry Amistadi, Pivot Media’s studio assistant, has curated an exhibit of memorabilia and historical images depicting the history of our business and our transition from film photography to digital photography and beyond. His exhibit will also be part of Pivot’s website.
